· Dave Bledsoe, Jr. is the principle of Bledsoe Occupational Therapy, LLC. His practice includes: Functional Capacity Assessments, Impairment Calculations, Work Conditioning, Job Site Analysis & ERISA Consultation Services.
· Prior to completing a degree in Occupational Therapy (from UAB), he worked as a public accountant for Arthur Young and Company. In 1988 his sister suffered a severe burn injury. It was at the UAB Burn Center that Bledsoe first became aware of O.T. Shortly thereafter he returned to UAB in the School of Occupational Therapy.
Since 1992, Bledsoe has testified as an expert in Workers Compensation, Personal Injury, FELA, Jones Act / Longshoreman’s Act, ERISA, Medical Malpractice, EEOC, Criminal Court and Non-Solicitation cases. Bledsoe Occupational is truly an "independent" clinic with a client breakdown (of litigated referrals) of approximately 50% insurance defense and 50% plaintiff. He regularly presents before his clients as well as his peers. He has given presentations for Cumberland School of Law , Alabama School of Law, The Alabama Trial Lawyers annual conferences, The Georgia State Bar and many other related organizations. Bledsoe is a Level I and II “Field Work Educator” for his alma mater UAB. He is also a fieldwork site for UAB Department of Kinesiology, and served on the Auburn University Advisory Board of "Nutrition and Dietetics".
Bledsoe served as Vice President of the Alabama Occupational Therapy Association (ALOTA) up until 2012. He is now serving with ALOTA as "Reimbursement Chair".
Bledsoe Occupational Therapy is located in friendly Homewood, Alabama. Bledsoe is a long time Homewood resident and enjoys spending time with his wife Drea and their 4 children. After work hours Dave spends his time working with local high schools as a Strength and Conditioning Coach at his gym HD Strength and Conditioning (which shares space with Bledsoe Occupational Therapy).
